Branch Operations Manager

Our client, an industry leader in the refractory field, is seeking a Branch Operations Manager for their team. This individual will lead a team of seven providing branch operational oversight and guidance. This individual will be skilled in business management and have a technical background and will also have come from a safety minded organization.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Full responsibility for developing and maintaining operational performance metrics including P&L and meeting and exceeding sales targets.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to a staff of 7 including sales and project management staff.
  • Manage and prepare operational budgets and business plans.
  • Ensure customer expectations are continuously being met and exceeded.
  • Develop and provide oversight on bid packages, contracts and agreements.
  • Communicate with Project Management team to evaluate project work.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Post secondary education in a related field (technical diploma or degree with business or leadership training).
  • Ability to understand inventory control and project management.
  • A background in project management in the construction industry is considered an asset.
  • Experience creating and responding to bid packages and RFPs.
  • Experience in contracting or industrial management.
  • A proven track record of implementing change and strategic plans within a business environment.
  • Good negotiator and strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Safety focused
  • Business minded and experience providing leadership and mentorship to a team
