Our client, providing products to the agricultural, construction and industrial industries is looking for a Business Development Representative to join their team. Based out of Leduc, this individual will be responsible for selling direct to end user companies. This individual will be focused on new sales growth and account management and will have access to an inside team supporting their efforts including customer service, admin and inside sales. Reporting directly to the Director of Sales, this person will work in tandem to develop effective sales plans to grow market share in the designated territory.

This company is a leader in their industry offering their clients an unmatched service model. They are agile and responsive to the needs of their clients and can deliver products overnight making them a desirable partner for distributor and end user customers.

Other key responsibilities include:

  • Build and develop client relationships
  • Build and execute effective sales and market penetration plans
  • Work with end user clients to provide products and plans that meet their business objectives
  • Work with all levels within an organization including head office staff, facility managers and mechanics
  • Manage a small portfolio of existing business to grow and develop

In order to be successful in this role, this individual will be required to possess the following attributes:

  • Strong communicator – both written and verbal
  • Ability to work with a team and independently
  • Technical aptitude
  • Strong influencer and negotiator
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Tenacious business development professional
  • 3 years of business development experience with a proven track record of success
  • Post secondary education in a related field

A strong compensation package is available for the right candidate including a base salary of between $70,000 - $80,000 plus commission, company truck, cell phone, laptop, paid vacation and a strong benefits package.
