Our client is seeking a high level, professional Canadian Regional Sales Manager. This person will be familiar with telecommunications with a focus on fiber optics and managing employees to excel in competitive markets.


  • Plan, execute, and manage regional marketing and sales efforts to maximize sales of all products.
  • Manage sales budget effectively to ensure maximum return on investments.
  • Manage regional team of Sales Engineers, including selecting, hiring, training, and motivating.
  • Mentor Sales Engineers to become Regional Sales Managers candidates, supporting their professional development and growth within the company.
  • Report on successes, opportunities, threats, and issues within the region.
  • Develop strong relationships with internal stakeholders, maintain up-to-date product knowledge.
  • Clearly communicate and present new products, solutions, and volume estimates to Management and Marketing for consideration.
  • Manage and develop sales channels using self-developed marketing plans, maintaining relationships, monitoring Sales Engineer performance, and developing program strategies for key customers.


  • 8+ years marketing / sales experience (experience in management roles may be considered an asset)
  • Strong industry knowledge of telecommunications / fiber optics / optical communications.
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field Required. Master’s degree may be considered an asset.
  • Proven track record in exceeding sales targets, managing and developing a territory / region.
  • Experience leading, managing and motivating employees while providing support for development.
  • Proficient using Microsoft Office and Sales Force.
