Our client is seeking a high level, professional Sales Engineer. This person will be familiar with telecommunications with a focus on fiber optics, or has experience in sales of technical products or security products.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Create a pipeline using Salesforce to track and maintain customers and meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Operate within assigned selling expense and promotional item budget.
  • Through regular sales calls, generate preference for company’s products over that of competitors.
  • Balance sales calls between end users, contractors, cable assembly houses, distributors and consultants.
  • Maximum efficiency in the NPI contractor program and Consultant EAP Program in your territory.
  • Coordinate sales calls with primary distributor representatives to maximize sales penetration.
  • Provide ongoing training to your distributors to assist them in effectively selling product solutions.
  • Provide timely call report summaries for all meetings & phone conversations using CRM System.
  • Maintain a current territory Opportunity Board of all projects valued above $25K in your territory.
  • Submit monthly reports and expense reports to the Regional Manager on time using Excel, PowerPoint and Word.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years marketing / sales experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field Required.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Familiar with selling through distribution.
  • Proven track record in exceeding sales targets, managing and developing a territory / region.
  • Proficient using Microsoft Office and Sales Force.
